11/27/19 – The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a man who’s been missing for several months. Stephen Jewell’s family is concerned about his well-being, becuase they haven’t been able to make contact with him for several months. Sheriff’s officials say he was last known to be staying in the Reed Plantation area but could be in New Jersey. Stephen is 30-years old, stands 5’11” tall, weighs about 170 pounds, with a slender build, blue eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information about Jewell’s whereabouts id asked to contact the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office at 207-532-3471.
11/14/19 – Bucksport police are looking for Aza Jerome who was last seen Monday morning at her home in Bucksport. According to police, Jerome does not speak fluent English and may be timid if approached. If anyone has seen her, they are asked to contact the Bucksport Police Department at 469-7951, or the law enforcement agency in your area. UPDATE 11/19/19 – Ms Jerome was found safe in Orland.
10/30/19 – Hampden Police are looking for a missing 14-year old, Nathan Osborne. The teeenager has been missing since October 30. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Nathan, please call Hampden PD. UPDATE 10/30/19 – Police say they have located the missing teen.
10/25/19 – Orono Police posted this: “We are looking for assistance in locating a missing vulnerable adult. The 77 year old male, named John Michael Stone, was last seen at his residence in our community at 8:30 p.m. last night. Stone left his residence driving a 2018 Ford Escape, white in color bearing Minnesota license plate CDS042. Stone is described as a white male, 5’9″ and 200 pounds, . He may be wearing blue jeans and a blue or black flannel shirt. If he or his vehicle is located, please contact law enforcement via 911.” UPDATE 10/25/19 – John has been found safe.
10/24/19 – The Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office is asking Mainers for help in finding a missing Greenville man. Deputies say Arnold “Rick” Bowie has been missing since October 19 and his family is concerned for him. Bowie is believed to be driving a newer model, red Jeep two-door Wrangler with a black hard top. His plate is Maine Veteran V78968. UPDATE 10/24/19 – Police say Mr Bowie has been found safe.
10/23/19 – Waterville Police are asking for the public’s help to find a young Waterville mother was last seen about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. 29-year-old Melissa Sousa lives on Gold Street. Last seen putting her two children on a school bus by her house. Sousa lives with 28 year old Nicholas Lovejoy, father of the children. Police say he was arrested and charged with loaded rifle in the car and endangering the welfare of a child. Police said he had left his children alone at the home. 10/20/19 – The Saco Police Department is searching for a missing teenager that was last seen on Friday, Oct. 18. In a post on the Saco Police Department’s Facebook page, police are searching for Sara Montano, 16, who was last seen leaving Baxter Academy in Portland. Police say Montano is 5’8 and 130 pounds, and was last seen wearing dark green jeans, a white tee shirt and carrying a green backpack. Anyone with information regarding Montano’s whereabouts is asked to call the Saco Police Department at (207) 284-4535. UPDATE 10/21/19 – Police say Sara has been located.
10/16/19 – A missing elderly couple who did not return to their assisted living facility in Hampton, New Hampshire was found safe Wednesday after a Silver Alert was issued. Dave and Ona Magee, both 86 years old, were last seen Tuesday leaving an appointment in Dracut, Massachusetts, at 3 p.m. Police said they failed to return home. The Silver Alert was issued after police said Ona Magee had been diagnosed with dementia, and David Magee was diagnosed with early-onset dementia. UPDATE 10/16/19 – Police say both men have been located in Maine.
09/06/19 – Lewiston Police would like your help in locating Malika Ragon-Wright, age 16. She is a severe diabetic and requires daily insulin, which is concerning. She was last seen on Thur Sept 5 when she left the Lewiston High School. She may be in the Portland/ S. Portland area. There is no indication she is a danger to herself or others but the concern exists due to insulin dependency and the fact she is a juvenile. 09/05/19 – According to the Auburn Police, Richard “Dick” Blastow of the Waver/ Court St area has wondered off on foot. Mr Blastow suffers from Parkinson’s disease. He may still be in the local area. Last seen wearing gray pants, plaid colored shirt, and glasses. If located, please call Auburn PD at 207-784-7731. UPDATE 09/05/19 – With the assistance of the Androscoggin County Deputies, specifically Dep John Guay and his K-9 partner Bosco, Mr Blastow has been found safe and sound a short distance from his home.
09/04/19 – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Lewiston man. Maine State Police say 53-year old Stephen Brown was last seen on August 26. Police say he lives at 96 Winter Street in Lewiston. Brown is described as 5’9″, 180 lbs with blue eyes and brown hair. If you have any information, call 207-784-6421. 09/03/19 – Portland Police are looking for Charles Keith 52-years old from Standish who went missing from the area of 75 Washington Avenue after a doctor’s appointment. He was last seen on 09/03/19 at 11:30am. Charles is 5’09” with a thin build and shaggy gray hair. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans. Charles is a stroke survivor and has some mental deficits from the stroke. If you locate him, please contact dispatch at 207-874-8575. UPDATE 09/03/19 – Charles has been located.
08/24/19 – Police on Mount Desert Island are looking for an elderly Somesville man who has not seen since Saturday morning. 86-yo Thornton Jenkins is driving his 2003 gray Ford Explorer with Maine licence plate 6612 KA. Jenkins has early dementia and no cell phone. He was going to do errands in Somesville and Southwest Harbor and was due home at noon. Jenkins is 5’8″, weighs 190 with gray hair and blue eyes. He was wearing khaki shorts and a blue polo shirt. Anyone with information on Thornton Jenkins is asked to call Mount Desert Police at 207-276-5111. UPDATE 08/24/19 – Jenkins found safe. He ran out of gas in Presque Isle.
08/13/19 – A search was underway off Bristol on Monday night and Tuesday morning for a missing man, officials say. The Maine Marine Patrol was leading the search in Round Pond Harbor for Glen Murdock, 63 of Bremen. He was rowing in a skiff to his boat when he went overboard, and reported missing around 9:30pm Monday after someone found his skiff adrift. The Coast Guard assisted the search efforts Monday night but was not active in the search on Tuesday.
08/12/19 – Maine State Police have issued a Silver Alert fir Diane Courtemanche, 69. She was last seen at 35 French St, Skowhegan 09:00, Saturday morning 08/10/19. 08/09/19 – A Silver Alert has been issued for an Amity man who left to pick up a boat and hasn’t been seen since. According to Maine State Police, Arthur Hill left 222 Tracy Road in Amity around 2:00 Thursday. He was last seen driving a red 2015 Ford F-150 pickup with Florida license plate KQKU93 on the bridge in Belfast. He’s 5’11”, 230 lbs, is bald, and has grey facial hair. UPDATE 08/10/19 – State Police report that Mr Hill has been located and is safe.
08/09/19 – Officials are looking for Steel Crawford, a missing 17-year old who was swimming with friends at Pleasant Point in Buxton. He was seen landing awkwardly from a rope swing and never resurfaced.. UPDATE 08/10/19 – State Wardens report that Mr Crawford’s body has been recoverd in about 50′ of water.
08/07/19 – A Silver Alert has been issued. Westbrook Police are asking for your help finding Hermon Bosse . He is 87 years old and has had some recent health issues and is in the early stages of dementia. Believed to be driving grey Honda Accord, ME plates 8759ME. UPDATE 08/09/19 – Mr Bosse has been found safe. A convenience store clerk received the Silver Alert at the very exact time Mr Bosse was shipping in the store.
06/07/19 – First responders are looking for a 39-year old Nottingham, New Hampshire man who went missing early Friday morning near Watchic Lake in Standish. Last seen getting into his kayak after midnight, Timothy Clauge, is about 6′ tall, 200 pounds,brown hair, blue eyes. He was in town for a birthday celebration. UPDATE 06/08/19 – Cumberland County Sheriff Deputies and divers with the Maine Warden Service using side scan sonar recovered his body Saturday morning without a life jacket about 1700 feet from the launch point. 06/06/19 – Maine State Police are asking the public’s help in finding a 22-year old Lamoine man. Family members have not seen Joshua since June 2. Mr Sargent is a black man, about 5’9″ and 130 pounds with autistic and other mental health issues. He as no vehicle or cell phone. Last seen wearing black t-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers. UPDATE 06/06/19 – Joshua Sargent has been located and he checked in with his family.
06/04/19 – A woman was reported absent early this morning from the Pleasant Meadows assisted living care facility. Dover-Foxcroft police Police say 85-year old Betty Smith went missing around 1:30am. 05/30/19 – Portland, ME are looking for Peter Higgins who was last seen on Friday, May 24 when he left his home on Brighton Ave and did not tell anyone where he was going. Authorities are searching for a 45-year-old man missing since April 8, 2019 in Acadia National Park. Adam “AJ” Emmett is 5-feet-6 inches tall and 145 pounds. He was last seen early Monday morning near Schooner Head Overlook in Acadia National Park. On Thursday, the Maine Warden Service used tracking dogs in their search for the missing man. The The Sanford Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 16-year-old girl. According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, Ellie Thompson was last seen leaving her home in Sanford on February 12th, at around 2:00 in the afternoon. Dennis Perrault left Saco on Friday, Oct. 26, to go hunting in the Allagash region of northern Maine. Perrault has a medical condition and only took enough medication for one week. On October 5, 2018, investigators found a body near where missing teacher was last seen, but they were not able to confirm identity. Officers won’t comment on the body that was found but did say the search for Kristin Westra, 47, is suspended with officers now focused on gathering evidence at the scene. BDN article. Investigators have identified remains found in a densely wooded area as that of a woman missing since June 2017. Police say remains were located April 7 south of the Route 3/Cushnoc bridge in Augusta. On April 24, the State Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body through dental records as that of Megan Gregory, 29 of Gardiner. Gregory had been reported missing to Gardiner Police in June of 2017. Police say evidence collected at the scene indicates that Gregory’s death is not suspicious.
